Jazz. Aleksey Kaznadey
I love jazz for its atmosphere. I notice how people suddenly change when they pick up a musical instrument. And especially in their eyes.
For a long time, this special look in the eyes I saw from all sorts of musicians was a mystery to me. After a while, I realized that it was love for the music they were playing.
I made it my goal to shoot jazz.
I’ve been in the dressing rooms, backstage, on the lighting mast, and lying under the drum kit. In these moments I play my camera together with everyone else. I show the concert in a way you cannot see it from the audience.
My goal is to show that music can be captured, and those photos will sound.
I hope this project will encourage more people to appreciate this great music.
I’ve been taking photos of jazz
since 2010, and I’ve been to concerts of such celebrities as Kevin Mahogany, Al
Jarrea, Wayne Escoffer, Kekko Fornarelli, Sebastian Studnitzky, Konstantin
Goryachiy, Alexander Sapega, and Vitaly Yamuteev.
