My photo exhibition “Seeing Jazz” was held on November 8-10, as part of the XJAZZ Minsk 2019 festival at Art-Belarus Gallery.
The exhibition is dedicated to jazz photography.
I love jazz for its atmosphere. I notice how people suddenly change when they pick up a musical instrument. And especially in their eyes.
For a long time, this special look in the eyes I saw from all sorts of musicians was a mystery to me. After a while, I realized that it was love for the music they were playing.
I made it my goal to shoot jazz.
I’ve been in the dressing rooms, backstage, on the lighting mast, and lying under the drum kit. In these moments I play my camera together with everyone else. I show the concert in a way you cannot see it from the audience.
My goal is to show that music can be captured, and those photos will sound.
I hope this project will encourage more people to appreciate this great music.

On the same dates I was a participant of MinkPhotoDays at the Fotokraft photography fair.
I had a huge booth, 12 meters long.
There were a lot of people, a lot of communication.
And it’s a pity that it was so short, only 3 days. I liked it very much.
Ballet dancer Ivan Savenkov came and signed some photos.
With the cool jachman Sebastian Studnitzky. The geography of my work is expanding — several photo albums went to Germany.
